Prof. Maitham Khajah research interest is to study new molecular targets for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He is also interested in studying the mechanism of cancer cell invasion and metastasis specifically by using various endocrine resistant breast cancer cell lines. He published over 33 manuscripts in internationally referred journals and 3 book chapters, and he was an editor for 2 books. He supervised and co-supervised many students for the M.sc Molecular Biology Program and Pharmaceutical Sciences programs, and MSc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences Program, College of Graduate Studies, Kuwait University. He got various grants as PI and Co-I. He was awarded the Best young researcher award by Kuwait University, Research Sector for the Year 2013 – 2014. He was also awarded Jaber Al-Ahmad Young Researchers Award for the year 2019-2020, Filed: Medical and Medical Sciences Assistance.
