Assistant Professor

Khaled S. Al-Rashidi is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Law at Criminal Law Department, College of Law, Kuwait University. He holds LLB degree from Kuwait University (2010). He also holds LLM degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice from the University of Leeds (2016). He obtained his PhD degree in counter-corruption laws from School of Law, University of Leeds (2020).

Key Responsibilities

Khaled has taught core criminal law modules, including Criminal Law (General Part) and Criminal Procedures and Trials, as well as elective modules, such as Youth Justice

He has also been involved in Research Seminar course and training graduates in the Moot Court Module (Training Course).

At the level of the Criminal Law Department and the College of Law, Khaled has been actively organizing cultural and intellectual activities.

Professional Experience

Before joining Kuwait University in 2015, Khaled had worked as a State Lawyer in the Department of Legal Advice and Legislation (Kuwaiti Council of Ministers), where he defended state institutions before the administrative courts. Khaled is now also a board member in the Kuwait Transparency Society, Transparency International’s Kuwait Chapter. 

Since 2022, Khaled has also been a legal advisor to a number of ministers, including the Minister of Commerce and Industry and the Minister of State for Communications.
