Prof. Al-Saeed: We Seek to Promote Frameworks that Foster Joint Cooperation with Entities of Expertise in Fields of Construction, Engineering and Medicine Globally to Aid in Constructing the Medical Campus
Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Osama Al-Saeed, met with Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, His Excellency Ambassador Samih Eisa Jouhar Hayat, to discuss ways of broadening the horizon of cooperation in the field of construction with Asian expertise, in the presence of Director of the Construction Program at Kuwait University, Dr. Ruqayya Salman Al-Sabah, Engineer Lujain Al-Rashed and Engineer Zaid Khajah from the Medical Campus Design Team - Construction Program.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for joint cooperation between Kuwait University and Asian companies and the possibility of enhancing understanding on benefiting from Chinese and Asian expertise in the construction sector and infrastructure projects in ways that serve common interests and contribute to building successful partnerships in terms of exchanging expertise and bilateral work, especially since Kuwait University is about to embark on a number of future projects within the project to establish a medical campus in Sabah Al-Salem University City, which is a huge development project that affirms Kuwait University's scientific leadership as a scientific entity that combines providing distinguished health education as well as research and scientific activities in the medical field on an area of one million and eight hundred thousand square meters.
In this regard, Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Osama Al-Saeed, stressed during the meeting the importance of promoting frameworks that foster joint cooperation with entities of expertise in fields of construction, engineering and medicine globally, as these inclinations go in line with Kuwait University's keenness and support to efforts dedicated to completing this educational edifice, which will represent an academic addition that contributes to improving education and clinical diagnostic services, and creating a health care environment characterized by a spirit of cooperation and innovation, in addition to developing medical educational methods and enriching aspects of academic practice.
