With the aim of enhancing cultural and literary relations between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University, represented by Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Jassem Al-Hamdan, and Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities, Dr. Salem Al-Shammari, hosted a delegation of professors and writers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Monday, November 25, 2024, on the sidelines of the book fair held in the Kuwait.
The meeting began with Prof. Jassem Al-Hamdan welcoming the visiting delegation, where he provided a brief overview of the history of Kuwait University and its modern facilities. An introductory video was also shown highlighting the design of the university’s facilities according to the concepts of sustainability and environmental conservation.
In turn, Prof. Hamad bin Nasser Al-Dakheel, former Professor of Literature and Criticism at the College of Arabic Language, expressed his thanks and gratitude for the warm reception, praising the importance of literary cooperation between Gulf universities.
At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the campus of the College of Arts in Al-Shadadiyah area, where they learned about the college’s facilities and the specializations available there.
This visit represents an important step towards enhancing cultural dialogue and academic cooperation between educational institutions in the Gulf countries.
