As part of its keenness to promote cultural and artistic activities among students, the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Department of Cultural and Artistic Activities, organized an art workshop entitled "Skull Sculpture", presented by Visual Artist Ahmed Haidar, in the College of Engineering and Petroleum Studio during the period from January 12 to 17, 2025.

This workshop comes within the framework of the Deanship's efforts to enhance students' artistic sense, develop their creative abilities, hone their talents in the field of fine arts, and provide participants with the opportunity to explore a new aspect of the arts, in addition to enhancing their confidence in their artistic abilities and raising the level of their practical skills.

In turn, artist Ahmed Haidar provided a comprehensive explanation of the basics of sculpture, highlighting the different methods used in this fine art. The course also included a practical and methodological explanation of the steps of sculpture, which gave students the opportunity to practically practice sculpting a skull model.

At the end of the session, the Department of Cultural and Artistic Activities honored artist Ahmed Haidar, in appreciation of his valuable efforts in providing artistic knowledge, and his contribution to enriching the creative experience of students. Haidar praised the advanced level demonstrated by the participants during the workshop, stressing the importance of continuing such initiatives that contribute to developing the cultural and artistic scene within the university.

The session witnessed a remarkable turnout from students interested in the visual arts.
