The College of Engineering and Petroleum, in collaboration with the Department of Chemical Engineering and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), organized a special event titled “AIChE meets AI”, with strategic sponsorship from Kuwait Finance House (KFH). The event saw participation from KFH, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity—a center affiliated with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS)—along with a large number of students. It was held in the Glass Hall Atrium of the College of Engineering and Petroleum’s South Building.
The event aimed to introduce participants to the applications of artificial intelligence in the field of chemical engineering, raising awareness about the transformative impact of AI in the industry. Through insightful presentations, resources, and discussions, the event promoted innovation and deepened understanding in this evolving field.
Activities included debates and competitions that highlighted the intersection between AI and chemical engineering, reflecting AIChE's ongoing commitment to equipping professionals and students with the knowledge and tools required to navigate this dynamic landscape.
The event emphasized the importance of integrating modern technology into engineering education and developing the skills necessary to meet future challenges in the industry.
