The Director of the Research Office at Durham University announced that scholarship holder at Kuwait University, Muhammad Abdulrahman Al-Ansari, won first place in the Illuminate Challenge Award for the year 2023, which is one of the most difficult annual awards for distinguished research. The award requires that the research be either a patent, a discovery, or a technology to be applied practically to serve humanity.
The judging panel announced in May that Mr. Al-Ansari won first place and would be given an encouraging financial prize of £5000. Mr. Al-Ansari presented his research, which was registered as a patent by the Patent Office at Kuwait University (Research Sector).
The program director congratulated Al-Ansari for winning the 2023 award and said that the judging panel expressed great admiration for what was presented, and that the competition was difficult.
