Kuwait University’s team won first place in the Sixth National Debating Championship hosted by the Australian College in cooperation with the National Debating Team. The competition was attended by Professor Issam Zabalawi, the general supervisor of the debate tournament, Dr. Nawal Al-Kandari, and several faculty members, arbitrators, and students of the participating teams.
The Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Muhammad Daheem Al-Dhafiri, congratulated the Kuwait University team. The team members were included Khaled Al-Qahtani from the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Yasmin Al-Azmi from the College of Medicine, Maram Al-Gharba from the College of Medicine, and Raghad Al-Rubaian from the College of Law.
Dr. Nawal Al-Kandari, the team’s supervisor, said that 12 teams from different academic institutions in Kuwait participated in the championship. She added that Kuwait University participated with two teams, one team won 1st place and the second team won 4th place.
