Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani, and in the presence of the Acting President of Kuwait University, Professor Suad Al-Fadhli, the College of Allied Health Sciences held its first international conference on artificial intelligence for education in medical sciences and healthcare applications. The conference was held at the Medical Sciences Center in Jabriya during the period from November 29th to December 1st.
The Acting President of Kuwait University, Professor Suad Al-Fadli, said that the field of artificial intelligence began to affect many areas of our life. She explained that the main goal of the conference is to improve the quality of health care services in Kuwait by increasing knowledge about the ways in which artificial intelligence (AI) can be applied in providing healthcare services.
The conference included several lectures like “The Beginning of Artificial Intelligence in Health Sciences Education” by Professor Nabil Zari, “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” by Professor Farah Maghribi, and “How Much Should Healthcare Professionals Know About Artificial Intelligence?” by Dr. Athari Al Zaabi and "Robotic Urology" given by Dr. Saad Al-Dosari. The conference also held several workshops specialized in artificial intelligence presented by Professor Farah Maghribi, Professor Shabir Sayed Abdul and Dr. Haider Al-Mohari.
