The College of Architecture will host the 3rd International Conference on Mosque Architecture (ICMA) “The Mosque: A Cross-Cultural Building”, which is organized in cooperation with Al Fozan Award for Mosque Architecture, and in partnership with Dar Al-Othman and the Society of Engineers. The conference will take place during the period from 14-16 November at 6:15 PM at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural Center.
ICMA a scientific and professional bi-annual conference that focuses on mosque architecture worldwide. This conference aims to encourage research on mosque architecture, and it addresses philosophical, historical, esthetical, technical, structural, functional and digital topics on mosque architecture.
Dr. Muhammad Nasser Al-Ajmi, faculty member at the College of Architecture and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Conference, stated that over the course of 3 days, a group of architects and researchers specializing in mosque architecture and arts from all countries of the world will gather in the conference and review the importance of scientific research in the development of mosque architecture.
