The President of Kuwait University Professor Yousef Al-Roumi received the Acting Dean of the College of Education Professor Fayez Al-Dhafiri, faculty member in the department of curriculum and instruction Dr. Bedour Al-Azmi, and the students who took part in the ‘inclusive design: between reality and hope’ exhibition.
Professor Al-Roumi praised the students’ teamwork and effort that went into organizing the exhibition. He said that the university administration had a chance to look into the students’ projects, and that the university is keen on providing the best services for all students, especially students with disabilities. He also thanked Professor Fayez Al-Dhafiri for his distinguished work in the College of Education.
The Acting Dean of the College of Education Professor Fayez Al-Dhafiri expressed his happiness to meet Kuwait University’s president with the participating students. He emphasized the university’s role in supporting distinguished faculty members and students.
Dr. Bedour Al-Azmi, faculty member in the department of curriculum and instruction, said that the exhibition was held to shed light on services provided to students with disabilities, in order to facilitate reaching those services and help them integrate with the society. She said that the focus of the exhibition was on visually impaired students who need to be provided with guidebooks in Braille.
She added that the exhibition was held in partnership with the Kuwait Blind Association, who welcomed the initiative to raise awareness among people. Al-Azmi expressed her happiness of the support from the university’s president and said that this meeting will encourage students and faculty members for more creativity and success.
