Under the patronage of the Acting Dean of the College of Education Professor Fayez Al-Dhafiri, the Department of Curriculum and Instruction held the second educational games exhibition. The Exhibition was supervised by Dr. Abdullah Al-Failakawy and it was held in the college’s lobby.
The Acting Dean of the College of Education Professor Fayez Al-Dhafiri said that the exhibition is targeted towards students of different ages, and that the displayed projects are the creations of students from the ‘Technology in Education’ course. He added that the games are not based on digital technology, instead they utilize traditional papers, shapes and models to steer children away from addictive electronic games.
The Head of the Curriculum and Instruction Department Professor Suad Al-Fraih said that this exhibition is the fruit of the students’ hard work and effort. She added that the exhibition allows students to transform ideas into tangible projects.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Failakawy said that this exhibition is the second of its kind. The concept behind the exhibition is to have students select a specific lesson from one of the Ministry of Education’s curriculums and turn it into an educational game.
