Kuwait University’s new campus, Sabah Al-Salem University City, won the Special Achievement in GIS award for the year 2022, which is awarded from Esri international company. The campus was chosen for its unique utilization of GIS systems and technology.
The awards ceremony took place in San Diego, California. Kuwait University was represented by the Constructions Program team. The team’s GIS consultant Dr. Jassim Al-Ali and the head of GIS team Ms. Rehab Al-Sarraf received the award on behalf of the university.
It is worth noting that Esri gives this award to institutions around the world for their successful and unique utilization of GIS. Sabah Al-Salem University City won the award from among 100,000 candidates for using mobile applications and linking different campus facilities with geographic information systems.
