In memory of the late Dr. Jassim Muhammad bin Essa, the first Kuwaiti Dentist, the College of Dentistry honored its outstanding graduates for the academic year 2021/2022 and distinguished employees as part of the award bearing his name. The late Dr. bin Essa was represented by his son Sharif Jassim bin Essa and his grandson Jassim Sharif bin Essa. The ceremony was attended by faculty members and employees of the college, and it was held with support from Al-Siyafi Medical Foundation.
The Acting Dean of the College of Dentistry Dr. Rashed Al-Azmi stressed on the important role of the pioneering Kuwaiti dentists in establishing the dental sector in Kuwait which was missing local experts and specialized medical equipment for over 60 years. He added that this award is an incentive for students and staff to achieve more excellence and exceed expectations. He thanked the attendees and sponsors for supporting the event.
