Under the Patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister, the College of Business Administration Celebrates the Golden Jubilee of the First class of Graduates from the College of Commerce, Economics, and Political Science

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait, and with the attendance of his excellency the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf as a representative of His Highness, the President of Kuwait University Professor Yousef Muhammad Al-Roumi, and the Acting Dean of the College of Business Administration Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Zainal, the college celebrated the golden jubilee of the first class of graduates from the College of Commerce, Economics, and Political Science, currently known as the College of Business Administration. The celebration took place in the College of Business Administration’s building in Sabah Al-Salem University City.
On behalf of the patron High Highness the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf welcomed the event attendees. He conveyed the greetings and wishes of His Highness Shiekh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister.
Minister Al-Mudhaf said the first graduates from the College of Commerce, Economics, and Political Science continue to inspire several generations of students to this day. He added that he is looking forward to seeing all the colleges of Kuwait University move to their new campuses in Sabah Al-Salem University City. He thanked the College of Business Administration for hosting the event and praised the great efforts of those who organized it.
The President of Kuwait University Professor Yousef Muhammad Al-Roumi said that Kuwait University is a prestigious academic institution, and it is considered the leading higher education institution in Kuwait. He expressed his gratitude for the first class graduates of the college and thanked them for all their sacrifices and contributions to the development of Kuwait.
The Acting Dean of the College of Business Administration Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Zainal expressed his happiness to be a part of a celebration that is commemorating an important historical event for Kuwait University. He added that Kuwait University provides the country with experts and specialists in different fields and promotes conducting scientific research.
Professor Zainal paid his respects to everyone who played a role in the establishment of the college, especially:
The late Mr. Anwar Al-Nouri – The first Secretary General of Kuwait University.
Dr. Hassan Al-Ibrahim - the first (Kuwaiti) President of Kuwait University, and the first (Kuwaiti) Dean of the College of Commerce, Economics and Political Science.
Professor Shuaib Abdullah - Former President of Kuwait University - Professor of Accounting at the College of Business Administration.
Professor Fayza Al-Kharafi - the former President of Kuwait University - During her tenure, the college was transformed into the "College of Business Administration" and the first steps were taken to obtain international academic accreditation.
All colleagues who held the Deanship of the college for the past five decades.
Professor Zainal thanked His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait for his generous patronage, and His Excellency the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf for representing His Highness. He also thanked all the attendees and congratulated the graduates for obtaining the ‘elite’ degree from the College of Business Administration, and thanked Kuwait Finance House for sponsoring the event.
Mahmoud Al-Nouri delivered the graduates speech. He recalled his first day in the college in September 1967 in Adeiliya campus. He said that his time in college was a turning point in his life, where he gained intellectual maturity and independence of opinions.
The president of the Prime Minister’s Office Abdulaziz Al-Dakheel said in a press statement that several first class graduates held prestigious positions in Kuwait, and to this day, they are still being consulted on different issues. He thanked Kuwait University for hosting the golden jubilee celebration.
