His Excellency the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf visited Kuwait University and met with the university’s president Professor Yousef Al-Roumi and the university's leaders and deans of colleges. Kuwait University’s Acting Secretary General and official spokesman Professor Murdhi Al-Ayash, the vice presidents of the university, the Dean of Admission and Registration and the Dean of Student affair were also in presence.
Dr. Al-Mudhaf said that they discussed issues concerning Kuwait University which need support from the Ministry of Higher Education or from His Highness the Prime Minister and from the concerned ministers in the government.
Dr. Al-Mudhaf emphasized that Kuwait University is a prestigious university, not only in Kuwait, but also in the Gulf and Arab region. He added that he is looking forward to seeing more achievements from the university under the leadership of Professor Al-Roumi. He concluded by thanking Kuwait University’s President for all the efforts he is putting towards improving and developing this institution.
Kuwait University’s President Professor Yousef Al-Roumi said that the meeting discussed several issues concerning Education in Kuwait. He explained that they are in the process of coordinating between the university and the ministry to tackle these issues. Professor Al-Roumi added that Dr. Al-Mudhaf emphasized that the Ministery of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research and Kuwait University should work as a team, as Kuwait University is one of the leading universities and the only public university in Kuwait.
