The College of Medicine is preparing to hold the twenty-sixth annual conference for the scientific poster of the College of Medicine, during the period from March 22-24, 2022. The Conference will be attended by deans, faculty members of the Colleges of Health Sciences Center ( College of Medicine- College of Dentistry- College Pharmacy- College of Allied Health Sciences – College of Public Health along with students and doctors from inside and outside Kuwait in accordance with the instructions of the health authorities and preventive measures to confront the spread of the new Corona virus. Thus, it was decided this year to hold the Scientific Poster Conference remotely via Internet, to ensure that College of Medicine continues to provide its educational, scientific, research and community service contribution as well as the importance of these conferences in creating several opportunities for researchers and specialists in the fields of medicine and health to obtain the greatest possible benefit.
For her part, Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, Prof. Heba Al-Husseini, announced that the objective of holding the Scientific Poster Conference is to communicate between scientists in various health-related disciplines to achieve academic excellence.
Prof. Al-Husseini added that the conference participants submitted (164) scientific papers, and the organizing committee succeeded in hosting Professor Ashok Shetty, MD - University of Texas, to give a lecture on the first day of the opening of the conference, as the main focus of this lecture will be to talk about the human derivative (iPSCNCS) From the treatment of extracellular vesicles to Alzheimer's disease: promise and challenges. In addition to hosting Professor Peter Dufendance, MD - Director of the Netherlands Heart Institute - on the third day, and the main focus of this lecture will be to talk about “Biology or Technology? Innovation is the key.”
