Kuwait University is proud that the Eng. Ghanem Al-Otaibi, who works at the Department of Physics, and also an active member of the National Project for the First Kuwaiti Satellite for Kuwait University. He recently represented the State of Kuwait in Poland, where he completed a simulated mission for astronauts on the moon's surface as part of a specialized research team consisting of several countries, and Kuwait was the only Arab country in this team.
The mission lasted for a whole week, where Eng. Ghanem Al-Otaibi, was the link officer between the team at the station and the ground control center. In addition, Eng. Al-Otaibi performed other tasks such as designing a solar panel system for the station on the moon, performing and measuring radiation levels and magnetic fields, and other tasks.
