College of Business Administration at Kuwait University held a celebration on the occasion of attaining the renewal of academic accreditation for a period of five years without any conditions from the oldest and most prestigious international accreditation institutions in the field of accreditation of colleges of administration, and the largest educational network for business administration (AACSB).
The celebration was dedicated to whoever contributed to the university achieving this accomplishment, along with the distance learning team that contributed to the success of the college and university.
On the sidelines of the celebration, a video was played about the difficulties and challenges that the college had gone through and successfully overcome.
On this occasion, Acting Dean of College of Business Administration , Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Zainal expressed his joy at the presence of colleagues from the college and university administration, adding that the college’s participation in this great achievement raised the name of Kuwait University among universities and the State of Kuwait in the international forums, noting that the college with this accreditation is considered one of the first in the world to have its file examined remotely.
He pointed out that the schedule for the visit and evaluation was prepared before the pandemic, specifically, last March, and that the granting institution was contacted in order to digitize the evaluation and approve it.
Dr. Zainal stated that the College of Business Administration has become one of the elite 5% in the world of internationally accredited colleges (only 800 colleges out of 15,000 universities), indicating that this academic accreditation is one of the most complex and difficult academic accreditations because it is not only for evaluating curricula, but also takes into account students progression, graduation and the outputs of the labor market.
The Accreditation Commission confirmed its recommendation on the necessity to develop the college’s curricula in line with the digital economy curricula as well as to prepare a generation of graduates to promote the private sector and rely on it more.
