The Acting President of Kuwait University Chaired the University Council Meeting

Dr. Muthanna Talib Al-Rifaie, Secretary General of the University stated that the University Council held its meeting today, 12/27/2020, in which it discussed the items listed on its agenda. Among the items on the agenda was the proposal to amend the third phase of the transition plan and the interim operation of Sabah Al-Salem University City presented by the Supreme Committee to follow up on the relocation to Sabah Al-Salem University City in light of the University Council's assignment to it in its meeting No. (1/2020). The University Council agreed that the third phase of the transition and operation plan should be as follows:
Transfer to the northern buildings of faculties (Sciences- Engineering and Petroleum- Business Administration- Life Sciences- Arts- Education) in Sabah Al-Salem University City as of the academic year 2021/2022.
Transfer of faculties (Law - Sharia and Islamic Studies - Social Sciences) as of the Academic Year 2022/2023.
Allow faculties of Engineering and Petroleum, and Science to use Khalidiya site until the Completion of the laboratories in Sabah Al-Salem University City, provided that both colleges may use their sites and the ready laboratories in Sabah Al-Salem University City.
Transferring to administrative and academic support buildings in Sabah Al-Salem University City in accordance to the initial receiving dates from contractors and the readiness of the buildings for operation.
Dr. Al-Rifaie explained that the implementation of the third phase depends on the delivery of electricity and water to the buildings, and that no obstacles to implementation have been achieved.
Dr. Muthanna Al-Rifaie also indicated that the council discussed in its meeting today other items on its agenda, including the proposal to amend articles (9/2 / a) and (37) of the College of Graduate Studies regulations, which were approved by the council.
