6000 Academics Participate in the Remote Tests Invigilation Course

The Secretary of the E-Learning Officials Committee of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the Acting Vice President for Academic Support Services, Dr. Abdullah Muhammad Abdul-Karim Al-Mutawa, inaugurated the first joint Gulf work activities on Monday 23rd November 2020, to activate what was approved by the Committee of Trustees of Joint Work Committees in the Field of Higher Education in the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries in its fifteenth meeting, held on October 28th, 2020, regarding the adoption of e-learning as one of the university education paths, urging universities to use artificial intelligence , virtual reality technologies and learn about the experiences of the GCC countries in this field.
In terms of activating joint training and transfer of expertise and experiences, a course entitled: “Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies to invigilate Electronic Examinations Remotely” was organized which aims to present the latest developments regarding assessment tools and invigilation in a manner that achieves integrity, credibility and continuity,
The course was presented by Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa on Monday from Kuwait University platform with the participation of more than 6000 academics from universities in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. Dr. Al-Mutawa elaborated on the evaluation guidelines, remote invigilation capabilities, and available invigilation tools, and then presented a selection of available solutions.
