The Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Ali Faisal Al-Mutairi, stated that the University Council had approved in its meeting No. (01/202020), held on 21/4/2020, the proposed amendments to the academic calendar for the year 2020/2019. The council also agreed on the proposed academic calendar for the academic year 2021/2020 is proposed for all colleges and colleges of the Center for Medical Sciences as shown in the attached tables.

He added that this proposal was prepared according to university regulations in the light of the exceptional circumstances that Kuwait is going through due to the new Coronavirus, which has resulted in the suspension of studies at Kuwait University from 1/3/2020 to 4/8/2020 in accordance with the decisions of the distinguished cabinet.

Dr. Al-Mutairi has suggested this calendar for the following justifications:
Accordingly, the second semester of the academic year 2019/2020 will be completed, and the academic year leave will be determined from the end of the second academic semester from 11/10/2020 to 11/28/2020. 
An exceptional summer semester will be assigned for a period of 6 weeks, and the period of lectures will be increased.
