The Vice President for Health Sciences, Prof. Adel Al-Hunyan announced that the seventh year students at the College of Medicine at Kuwait University will begin training today in the following hospitals:
Mubarak AlKabeer Hospital
Amiri Hospital
Farwaniyah Hospital
Adan Hospital
AlSabah Hospital
Prof. Al-Hunyan added that the College of Medicine has coordinated with the Ministry of Health, and addressed hospital directors and heads of the departments of internal medicine and surgery, provided that the seventh year students of the College of Medicine will begin their training in these two departments from 5/4/2020 to 21/5/2020 according to the attached tables prepared by the college of Medicine.
Prof. Al-Hunyan indicated that the final exams for students of the seventh year at the College of Medicine will be held from June 4th to June 25th, 2020 and preceded by a preparatory period for the exams. Stressing that the student will not graduate without field training being done efficiently, then successfully passes the final exams to join the workforce. According to the system previously applied in the College of Medicine at Kuwait University.
Prof. Al-Hunyan stated that coordinating with the Ministry of Health comes in light of the circumstances Kuwait is going through from the outbreak of the new Corona pandemic (COVID_19). In implementation of the decree of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education, the Higher President of the university Dr. Saud AlHarbi, to complete the training of the final year students at the colleges of Health Sciences Center to complete the second semester requirements, which prepares them for graduation and then join the clinical work in the hospitals of the Ministry of Health to support the workforce in it.
