Prof. Essa Al-Safran wins the Middle East and North Africa Petroleum Production Engineering Award from the Professional Society of International Petroleum Engineers (SPE)

Professor of Petroleum Engineering at College of Engineering and Petroleum- Kuwait University Issa Al-Safran received the 2019 Petroleum Production Engineering Award in the Middle East and North Africa, presented by the Professional Society of International Petroleum Engineers (SPE-International) based in the USA.
Prof. Al-Safran received the award at an honoring ceremony Abu Dhabi in September 2019, for his excellence in the field of Petroleum production engineering, and for his scientific research on a global level, as well as his contribution in providing solutions to improve the production of oil and natural gas. In addition to increasing the efficiency of wells and oil reservoirs.
Prof. Al-Safran was awarded after he was nominated by oil experts from the United States and was selected by the awards selection committee of the Professional Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) among several other candidates, for his contribution in the development of numerical models, and for providing practical solutions in oil production.
In honor of Prof. Al-Safran for this achievement, his name is permanently listed on the website of the Professional Society of International Petroleum Engineers
