Kuwait University Cooperates with Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences to Support the National Project: Policies and conditions of science, technology and innovation in the State of Kuwait

Under the patronage and attendance of Kuwait University President Prof. Hussein Al-Ansari, in cooperation with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (SCPD) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Working Group. The Research Sector at the University held its fourth and final meeting with the OECD Working Group on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the University Council Hall, in the presence of Vice-Presidents, Deans of Colleges and Assistant Deans of Research at various colleges.
The meeting aimed at identifying the strength and weaknesses of the innovation system in the State of Kuwait and the preliminary results in the various topics related to the innovation system reached by the team of the organization based on the discussions made in the previous visits. The meeting is an embodiment of the research cooperation to support the national project between Kuwait University and the Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.
In this regard, the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Hussein AlAnsari, said that the meeting was held in support of the national project in cooperation between Kuwait University and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences through the formation of research teams composed of faculty members and a group of researchers at the Foundation to address the issue of supporting innovation in Kuwait. Pointing that Kuwait University is always at the center of the power of major research. Noting that the (KFAS) has a strong relation with the private sector and the public to implement applied research.
Prof. AlAnsari wished that the results of the united efforts between the two sides are better and their impact on society is greater. Hoping to a successful national project and the implementation of joint scientific research will help researchers exchange experiences.
