Kuwait University Students Team Won the First Place in the Debate League Competition of Higher Education Institutions in English for the academic year 2018/2019, where they won the final round over the students of the Gulf University for Science and Technology in second and third place and the team of American University students in fourth place.
The winning team included students: Abdulrahman Al-Majelham - College of Arts, Salman Al-Otaibi - College of Medicine, Khalid Al-Qahtani - College of Engineering.
Dean of College of Arts, Prof. Suad Abdul Wahab extended her congratulations to the student Abdulrahman Al Majelham from the Department of English Language College of Arts for winning first place, in the presence of Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Research Abdullah Al-Hajri and Head of English Language and Literature Dr. Lafi Al-Harbi and Prof. Masha'al Al-Hamli , a faculty member in the department as well as Dr. Lamis Al Bustan, a faculty member and the supervisor of the debates league in English.
