The Dean of Student Affairs at Kuwait University Dr. Ali S. AlNami stated that the Kuwait University participated in the eighth sports tournament for universities and institutions of higher education in the GCC countries. The university is proud of its sporting talents and has been shown by the participating students and competitors in all competitions. Dr. AlNami thanked the Dean of Student Affairs at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), Chairman of the Organizing Committee Dr. Hussein AlMakaimi and the Organizing Committee of the Championship.

In his turn, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs for Students Activities, Dr. Thegal S. AlAjmi said that the participation of Kuwait University students in this tournament came through the formation of the teams in the various sports and competitions held in the course through the Sports Activities Departments that sponsor the students of Kuwait University, where Kuwait's students have won since the first day of the tournament and during its opening in the Shot Put and Football championship.
It is worth mentioning that the student Hussein Mahmoud AlQattan from the College of Science at Kuwait University won the gold medal and the first place in the Shot Put game, in addition to the victory of Kuwait University Futsal Football clubs in the first games.
Kuwait University team played against the team of faculties of Applied Sciences (Oman) in the Futsal Football Championship.
