Minister of Education and Higher Education chaired the meeting of the University Council

The Minister of Education and Higher Education and the higher President of Kuwait University Prof. Hamed Mohammed Al-Azmi chaired the University Council meeting no. (4/2018), on Sunday 16th, December 2018, in the presence of the President of Kuwait University Prof. Hussein A. AlAnsari, and members of the University Council in Khalidiyah campus.
In this regard, the Spokesman for Kuwait University, Secretary General Dr. Muthanna T. AlRifae said that the University Council approved the meeting report no. (3/2018) that was held on 25th, June 2018. He also reviewed the follow up report on the implementation of the decisions of the University Council in meeting no. (3/2018).
Dr. AlRifae stated that the University Council reviewed the Dean's Selection Committee report for the College of Allied Health Sciences, and the College of Graduate Studies, and approved the appointment of:
He added that the Council had seen a presentation on the transfer and employment plan for Sabah Al-Salem University city. Adding that the current buildings of Kuwait University will be upheld until it is delivered to another governmental university.

He said that the University Council approved the proposal of the College of Graduate Studies to grant the deceased student Fahd Abdul-Mohsen Mohammed AlHussaini, a doctorate degree in Comparative Jurisprudence at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.
Dr. Al-Rifae noted that the University Council reviewed the proposal of the Vice President for Research to amend Article (4/A) of Article (69) of the rules and procedures of supporting scientific research and add members of the academic body other than faculty members at Kuwait University to reward unfunded research, and the Council approved the proposal.
Dr. AlRifae pointed out that the University Council approved the proposal of some colleges to promoteĀ (18) faculty members to the rank of professor and assistant professor from different faculties, (11) from humanitarian and social colleges and (7) from scientific colleges, as follows:
