Kuwait University announces the admission of 2109 students for the second semester
The Dean of Admission and Registration at Kuwait University Dr. Ali AlMutairi announced that 2109 students have been accepted for the second semester, distributed among 863 students who were delayed admission to the second semester, and 1246 Kuwaiti students of secondary school graduates who meet their admission requirements during the period of applying for admission to Kuwait University for the second semester 2018/2019. Non-Kuwaiti students from the categories to be admitted will be announced in early January.
The Dean of Admissions and Registration stated that in order to ensure that the students' acceptance bases are clear to all, the minimum admission rates for all Kuwaiti and children of Kuwaiti mothers students have been published as shown in the table on the Deanship of Admissions and Registration website and Daily Newspapers. Adding that admission to all colleges - except for the College of Science - has been done according to the equivalent rate calculated based on the results of the Academic Aptitude Tests performed by each student before joining the university in addition to the GPA of students in secondary school.
Dr. AlMutairi added that to approve the admission of Kuwaiti students, children of Kuwaiti mothers students, and students with postponed admission to the second semester 2018/2019 will be Sunday, 16/12/2018 until Monday 24/12/2018. Students will be informed of the date of submitting their documents and registration of the courses through the Admission and Registration Deanship website, the electronic admissions system, or through sending text messages via mobile phones to new students. He called on all students to take into account the importance of meeting their deadlines and going to the admission and registration hall in Shuwaikh campus. Note that students do not have to come in person, a representative can come on their behalf with the original ID of the registered student and all required documents. The Dean called on all students expected to graduate from English schools who applied for admission to the university to submit their original certificates within two working days of the announcement of their final results in order to decide their admission and set the date of registration in courses.
On this occasion, Dr. AlMutairi thanked the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Graduate Affairs Dr. Reem AlJarallah and the officials and staff of the Deanship of Admission and Registration in general, headed by Director of Admissions Department Ms. Hind Al-Salem. He also thanked the staff of the Center of Information Systems and the staff of the Security and Safety Department for their good efforts and productive cooperation during the period of receiving the new students' papers for the second semester 2018/2019 and registering them in the course.
Finally, the Dean of Admission and Registration at Kuwait University Dr. Ali F. AlMutairi congratulated the new students and their families on the occasion of their admission to Kuwait University and wished them good luck.
