In an effort to enhance communication with higher education institutions in Kuwait, Dr. Hamad AlAdwani, Director of the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation & Education Quality Assurance (NBAQ), met with the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Hussein AlAnsari, in the presence of Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jamal AlNakas, Vice President for Planning Dr. Adel AlHussainan, Dr. Ali A. Abdullah, and Dr. Abeer Hassan. The Director of NBAQ gave a presentation that included the definition of the role of the authority in evaluating the programs of the higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait that aimed at raising their levels and initiating the process of institutional accreditation of Kuwait University.
In addition, appropriate mechanisms have been put in place to enhance communication between Kuwait University and NBAQ, and provide support through the organization of workshops and lectures on the definition of the process of self-evaluation, institutional, and program accreditation and raise the academic classification and continue constructive efforts between the Bureau and Kuwait University. The University administration welcomed the activation of the academic accreditation of the university and the start of developing appropriate mechanisms for this.
Dr. Hamad AlAdwani thanked the University administration for the positive meeting and the keenness of Kuwait University to carry out the evaluation process and start the process of institutional accreditation.
