Poster Day for Scientific Faculties scheduled for Wednesday, March 20th, 2019

The Research Sector announces the scheduling of its annual Poster Day event for the academic year 2018/19 for humanities and scientific faculties as well as Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. The event will be held under the patronage and with the presence of Kuwait University President, Prof. Hussein Al-Ansari. The Poster day for the Humanities faculties would be held on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019, at 9:30 am at the College of Arts, Kaifan Campus, while for the Scientific Faculties, Posters event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20th, 2019 at 9:30 am at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Adailiya Campus.
The Research Sector invites, and looks forward to, active participation of faculty members, teaching assistants and graduate students in the Poster Day event, and has started accepting applications for participation. Please note that:
Certificates of acknowledgement and mementos are awarded for the top three winners in each category and faculty (Distinguished Poster) on the day of the event by KU President and Dean of the hosting faculty.
Names and research abstracts of the winners of the top three posters in each participating category shall be displayed on the Research Sector’s website.
A committee will be formed by faculties’ representatives for evaluation and short-listing of best posters. Winners of the top three posters in each category, in Humanities and Sciences faculties, will receive monetary incentive awards as outlined below:
Faculty Members: A total amount of KD 1000 is earmarked for top three winners and distributed as follows: (KD 500 for the first winner, KD 300 for the second winner, and KD 200 for the third winner).
Teaching Assistants: A total amount of KD 800 is earmarked for top three winners and distributed as follows: (KD 350 for the first winner, KD 250 for the second winner, and KD 200 for the third winner).
Graduate Students: A total amount of KD 600 is earmarked for top three winners and distributed as follows: (KD 250 for the first winner, KD 200 for the second winner, and KD 150 for the third winner).
Certificates of acknowledgement are awarded for the top three winners in all categories.
Names and research abstracts of the winners of the top three posters in each participating category shall be displayed on the Research Sector’s website.
Please note that the deadline for submitting posters is 20/12/2018
