Kuwait Engineers Program launched its Second Edition under the Sponsorship of Limak Construction Company

Kuwait Engineers Program launched its second edition, which aims to train 30 students and engineers in different majors from the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University during the first semester of the academic year 2018-2019, about 200 hours of training divided into 8 sections. Upon successfully completing the program, participants will receive the Board of Technology Education Certificate for Management and Leadership accredited in more than 100 countries around the world, and 3 BTEC study units and business administration for field training in this semester. This field program aims at empowering students, refining their leadership and management skills and helping them to form a clear picture of their future engineering work.
The College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University signed a memorandum of understanding with Limak Construction Company in February 2017, which is one of the leading construction companies in the world.
The memorandum aims at providing channels of communication and enhancing cooperation between the two parties to exchange experiences in various fields of engineering. The two parties also agreed to develop joint training programs for students.
Limak initiated a joint professional training program for Kuwaiti and Gulf students at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University in collaboration with the Turkish Boğaziçi University. This program will enable them to acquire experience and receive practical knowledge and encourage them to engage in field engineering work in the largest construction projects.
The first edition of the program was successfully completed, and the first batch was graduated at a ceremony held by Limak at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul as part of a trip for the trainees who successfully acquired the training.
furthermore, in order to reach out to the trainees, the chairman of Limac Investment Company board a subsidiary of Limac Company, Ms. Ibero Uzdemir, in the presence of Dr. Amani Bouqamaz from the College of Engineering and Petroleum and supervisor of the program, and Dr. Tamer Attarport Director of the Center for Continuing Education at Boğaziçi University met with a group of trainees to discuss the aspects which benefited from the training program and their suggestions for developing the program.
