DR AHMAD ALSHEHAB

Assistant Professor

Dr. Alshehab is an Assistant Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kuwait University College of Arts. With 12 years of extensive experience at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, he brings a wealth of practical knowledge to his academic endeavors. In addition to his academic role, Ahmad volunteers as an editor for scholarly journals and research symposiums. He holds a master’s degree in journalism and media studies from the University of South Florida Saint Petersburg and a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University. Ahmad's research interests include science journalism, digital journalism, fake news, and political communication. He also boasts practical expertise in media production, having produced and served as executive producer for several documentary films. Throughout his academic journey, Ahmad has actively participated in various organizations, including serving as President of the Kuwaiti Students Club at Arizona State University and as an Establishing member of the Kuwaiti Graduate Students Group in the United States and the Scientific Research Team in Kuwait. Currently, Ahmad's research is centered on exploring the implications of generative AI for journalism practice and ethics in the Middle East, showcasing his dedication to understanding and addressing contemporary media challenges.
