Imtiaz Ahmad   received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York, in 1984, 1988 and 1992, respectively. Since September 1992, he has been with the Department of Computer Engineering at Kuwait University, Kuwait, where he is currently a professor. His research interests include design automation of digital systems, machine learning, meta-heuristics, and parallel and distributed computing.
