Associate Professor

Dr. Mohamad Alkhalidi is an Associate Professor and the Acting Chairman of the Civil Engineering Department at Kuwait University. He earned his Ph.D. in Coastal and Oceanographic Engineering from the University of Florida and has extensive experience in academia, teaching, research, and leadership. His expertise includes the design of coastal structures, predicting extreme events, analyzing wave statistics, and numerical modeling of coastal areas. 
In addition, Dr. Alkhalidi is skilled in sediment transport, beach stabilization, and the transport and mitigation of marine pollution. He also focuses on renewable energy sources, such as wind, wave, and hydropower. Known for his comprehensive approach to coastal engineering and renewable energy solutions, he is a prominent figure in advancing these fields through innovative research and dedicated service in both academic and professional communities.
