I was born in 1971, in Athens, Greece. I studied at the University of Athens, where I was awarded my Ph.D. degree in 2002 under the supervision of Professor Theodosios Christodoulakis. Then I moved to Barcelona, Spain, for a postdoctoral position at the University of Barcelona from Jan. 2003 till Dec. 2004. Then I moved back to Athens for a second postdoctoral position at the University of Athens from Jan. 2005 to Jun. 2007. In 2008, I was elected as Researcher C at the Research Center for Astronomy and Applied Mathematics (RCAAM) of the Academy of Athens. In 2011, I got my tenure and was promoted to a Researcher B. In Sept. 2013, I moved to Kuwait University as Associate Professor and joined the Theoretical Physics Group in the Department of Physics. In 2023, I was promoted to Full Professor in the Department of Physics of Kuwait University.
My research field is gravitational physics and in particular, General Relativity, Black Holes, Cosmology, Gravitational Waves, Quantum Gravity in curved spacetime, Quantum Gravity Phenomenology
