The Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University organized the final ceremony of its activities for the academic year 2023/2024 on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in the auditorium of the Administration Building in Sabah Al-Salem University City, in the presence of Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University, Prof. Fayez Al-Dhafiri.
The ceremony included a visual presentation of the deanship’s activities in its various administrations during the academic year, which reflects the extent of the achievements and events that were organized with the aim of developing students’ skills and enhancing the spirit of cooperation and creativity among them.
The ceremony began with a speech by Prof. Jasem Al-Hamdan, Acting Dean of Student Affairs, as he expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the Deanship’s activities, saying: “I am honored to speak with you in this final ceremony for the activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs, to extend my deep thanks and great gratitude to each and every one of you. The Deanship of Student Affairs is proud of you, and our achievements reflect your support and wonderful efforts.”
An honoring ceremony was conducted by Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jasem Al-Hamdan and Assistant Dean for Student Activities, Dr. Salem Al-Shammari, beginning with honoring Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University, Prof. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, among many others that contributed to the success of the deanship’s activities, the most prominent of whom are:
- Former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Anwar Abdul Latif Al-Barjas
- Assistant Secretary General for Facilities Affairs, Muhammad Saud Al-Sulaiman
- Faculty member Dr. Intisar Al-Mudhahka
- Faculty member, Dr. Ohood Al-Hajri
- Faculty member Dr. Najah Al-Dhaidi
- Administration of Security and Safety
- Administration of Construction and Maintenance
- Administration of Media Public Relations
- Administration of Furnishing and Housing
- Ms. Makiyah Mohammed Al-Sayegh.
The retirees from the Deanship of Student Affairs were also honored, namely:
1. Mr. Jamal Nasser Bouaraki – Director of Administration of Arts and Cultural Activities
2. Mr. Jaber Ahmed Dashti - Supervisor of Administration of Sports Activities
3. Ms. Khuloud Ahmed Al-Yaqoub - Head of Department of Cultural Activities
4. Mr. Talal Nazal Al-Muasab - Head of Department of Male Students Sports Supervision
5. Mr. Wael Khaled Al-Wazan - Head of Department of Male Students Social Support
6. Ms. Rabuah Mohammed Al-Fahad - Head of Department of Female Students Sports Supervision
The ceremony concluded with a speech from Acting Dean of Student Affairs in which he praised the dedication and efforts made by all participants in the deanship’s activities, stressing the importance of teamwork and cooperation in accomplishing successes and achievements. He also thanked the attendees and wished everyone continued success.
