
Under the patronage of the President of Kuwait University, Professor Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, the Deanship of Student Affairs organized the second university career fair titled "Your Bridge to Your Future" in the lobby of the College of Arts at the Sabah Al-Salem University City, with the attendance of Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassem Al-Hamdan, and Acting Assistant Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities, Dr. Salem Al-Shammari.
The aim of this fair is to provide a platform for students and graduates to explore available employment opportunities and connect with ministries and institutions from both the public and private sectors, locally and internationally. It also contributes to guiding students towards suitable career paths, offering them opportunities to develop their professional skills. The fair is an important initiative that strengthens direct communication between Kuwait University and the job market, contributing to the development of human resources and the achievement of sustainable development in Kuwait.
In this regard, Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassem Al-Hamdan, praised the events organized by the university through the Deanship of Student Affairs, particularly the career fair, emphasizing that it provides students with the opportunity to engage with organizations offering employment opportunities, whether in the public sector or private sector.
He pointed out that acquiring these skills gives graduates priority in employment and fieldwork after graduation. The skills were divided into four main categories: technical, ethical, professional, and personal skills, which enables students, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, to identify their training needs. In conclusion, Al-Hamdan thanked the organizations that participated in the fair, which was successfully held for the second consecutive year, and pledged that their efforts would have a positive impact on the students. He also called on both governmental and private institutions to continue collaborating with Kuwait University in search of outstanding students, praising the role of the media in supporting useful projects and scientific events.
For his part, Vice Assistant Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities, Dr. Salem Al-Shammari, welcomed the attendees at the career fair, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs for the second consecutive year under the patronage of Kuwait University President, Professor Dina Al-Mailem. He confirmed that the fair is one of the most important events that enhances the role of students in the job market and strengthens community partnerships between the private and public sectors. It also provides diverse experiences for students and offers them job opportunities that align with the development of their skills. He pointed out that this year's fair features participation from more than 25 different organizations from both the public and private sectors, reflecting the diversity of available expertise and technical resources for students at Kuwait University. He expressed his happiness in strengthening this cooperation, which serves the students' interests and contributes to the development of the necessary skills for the labor market.
The fair included an opening ceremony attended by students, where Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassem Al-Hamdan, and Vice Assistant Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities, Dr. Salem Al-Shammari, took a tour of the fair, which included many booths. The attendees expressed their enthusiasm to participate and explore the opportunities offered by the fair, reflecting the active role played by the Deanship of Student Affairs in supporting students' educational and employment journeys and fostering new partnerships with various institutions.
