"Towards a Shared Healthy Future: The Ministry of Health and Kuwait University Collaborate to Develop the Skills of Public Health Students"

Within the framework of enhancing integration between the academic and health sectors, the tests of Practical Training in Public Health Practice course witnessed joint collaboration between the Ministry of Health, represented by the Department of Prevention and Response to Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases and the Department of Health Services for the Elderly, and the College of Public Health at Kuwait University. 
The final tests of the course were conducted under the joint supervision of field supervisors from the Ministry of Health and faculty members from the college, which enhances the students' experience in applying public health concepts in real professional environments. 
The course professor, Dr. Ahmed Salman, indicated that this collaboration comes within to aim of preparing students to face modern public health challenges, in line with Kuwait Vision 2035, by qualifying national cadres capable of supporting community health and enhancing prevention. 
For his part, Director of the Department of Prevention and Response to Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Homoud Al-Zaabi, praised the level of students' performance, stressing that this cooperation between the ministry and the college reflects the importance of integrating field training with academic evaluation to prepare qualified cadres in the field of public health. 
The Director of the Department of Health Services for the Elderly at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Fatima Bin Dhafari, praised the students' efforts, stressing that field projects related to the health of the elderly are an added value that enhance health services for this significant community group. 
It is worth noting that the tests focused on highlighting the students' competencies in basic public health services and evaluating their field projects implemented during the semester, which reflected the students' ability to apply their scientific skills in areas including prevention of chronic diseases, enhancing the health of the elderly, and advancing the concept of community health. 
This cooperation comes within the framework of a strategic partnership aimed at developing field education in public health, and achieving integration between the theoretical and practical aspects, confirming the role of students as effective elements in facing health challenges and enhancing the quality of health services in society.
