The Organizing Committee of Kuwait National Robotics Championship participated in the "Nexus Kuwait" technical exhibition, the largest event in the field of technology and innovation in Kuwait, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Mr. Omar Al-Omar from December 5 to 7, 2024 at the Arena - 360 Mall.
The exhibition was attended by Acting Vice President for Academic Support Services at Kuwait University, Prof. Mohammad Al-Mulla, Acting Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Mohammad Bin Sabt, and Acting Head of the Department of Computer Science, Dr. Zaid Dashti. The Championship's pavilion at the exhibition attracted a large number of visitors, especially students and youth teams from various educational levels from primary school to university.
During the exhibition, an introductory overview of the championship and its role in enhancing technical and creative skills was provided, and the importance of modern technology in developing capabilities was highlighted. It was noted that during December, training workshops will be organized for the teams participating in the four competitions under the championship, with the aim of enabling participants to design, build and program robots to compete in game-based engineering challenges.
The exhibition witnessed a distinctive interaction between the audience, the private sector, and the industry, as a group of leading companies from various sectors participated. The role of the Kuwait National Robotics Championship in empowering the next generation of innovators through robotics and technology was highlighted, as well as its role in enhancing cooperation between educational institutions and the private sector to support innovation and technology in Kuwait.
These participations fall within the framework of enhancing cooperation between educational institutions and the private sector, with the aim of supporting innovation and technology in Kuwait, confirming the distinguished presence of Kuwait University and the championship in events that contribute to community development.
