Under the patronage and attendance of Acting Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Eisa Mohammed Al-Balhan, the Educational Curriculum Club affiliated with the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods organized a discussion session entitled "In the Realm of Our Arabic Language" in conjunction with the International Arabic Language Day, in the presence of Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassem Al-Hamdan, where he hosted Dr. Nour Al-Mutawa, Faculty Member at the College of Education, Dr. Najah Al-Thaidi, Faculty Member at the College of Arts, and Dr. Mishaal Al-Harbi from the Ministry of Education. The event was held in the Theater of the College of Education in Sabah Al-Salem University City.
In this regard, Acting Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Eisa Al-Balhan, welcomed the attendees, asserting the importance of taking pride and distinguishing Arabic language as the bridge that connects us to our history and civilization.
In his speech, Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassem Al-Hamdan thanked the Educational Curricula Club of the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods at the College of Education for organizing this event that seeks to develop students' skills, stimulate innovation and creativity, and enhance partnership between students and specialists.
In turn, Dr. Nour Al-Mutawa spoke about the importance of the teacher's role in building students' identity and enhancing their belonging to the Arabic language.
Dr. Mishaal Al-Harbi also stressed the importance of including Arabic poetry in Arabic language curricula to develop linguistic proficiency in innovative expression and visual thinking among students.
On her part, Dr. Najah Al-Thaidi reviewed the most common linguistic errors in student correspondence and writings and the importance of using the language in its correct form in daily practices.
The event included competitions and witnessed interaction from the attendees, and the winners of the poetry competition were announced.
In conclusion, Acting Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Eisa Al-Balhan, and the Supervisor of the Educational Curricula Club, Dr. Ahoud Al-Hajri, honored the participants and organizers of this event, thanking them for their great effort.
