
The Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University is preparing to organize the second edition of the Kuwait University Career Fair, scheduled to launch in early April 2025, at the Sabah Al-Salem University City.
The fair aims to enhance the alignment between university education outcomes and labor market requirements, in addition to providing part-time job opportunities and training programs that contribute to practically preparing students for entering the workforce. The event will include a series of training workshops in partnership with various government and private sectors, in line with Kuwait's Vision 2035, which focuses on developing national competencies, enhancing skills, and boosting productivity and competitiveness to achieve positive impacts on both the economic and social levels.
Dr. Salem Al-Shammari, Acting Assistant Dean for Student Activities at the Deanship of Student Affairs, stated that the fair represents one of the prominent annual activities organized by the Deanship to support students and graduates. He explained that this event offers more than 500 job opportunities, with the participation of over 20 entities from both the public and private sectors, helping students explore broad career horizons and strengthening their role in community development.
Dr. Al-Shammari also pointed out that the fair includes a series of workshops presented by professional development specialists in collaboration with various sectors, aiming to enhance the essential skills and competencies needed by students and graduates. Additionally, the fair reinforces the concept of community partnership by promoting cooperation between educational institutions and the labor market, contributing to the building of a national workforce that meets the current and future needs of the market.
