In the presence of Prof. Maitham Abbas Khajah, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Fatima Al-Saleh, Acting Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Kuwait University held its White Coat Ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Health Sciences Center Theater in the Jabriya campus, with the attendance of faculty members and students’ families.
On this occasion, Prof. Maitham Khajah warmly welcomed the students and members of the faculty during the third annual White Coat Ceremony held for second-year pharmacy students. He highlighted that the white coat ceremony is a meaningful tradition symbolizing students’ transition into the clinical years of the pharmacy program. It reflects their readiness to provide clinical services and patient care—an essential pillar of the pharmacy profession, which, like other health professions, plays a pivotal role in determining and implementing appropriate treatment plans for patients based on extensive clinical knowledge acquired throughout the program.
Prof. Khajah offered several key pieces of advice to the students, emphasizing the importance of time management, dedication to study, and the need to seek guidance or support whenever needed, assuring them that all faculty members are available to assist and support them in overcoming academic challenges. He wished them continued success in their academic journeys.
He concluded his speech by recognizing and honoring a distinguished group of high-achieving students across all academic years. Their excellence, he noted, is the result of hard work, determination, and perseverance, which earned them outstanding academic performance worthy of appreciation. He extended his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event and to the sponsors for their ongoing support. He expressed hope that such accomplishments would continue to flourish among Faculty of Pharmacy students, as they are the foundation of the country’s progress and among its most valuable contributors to development and prosperity.

"I swear by Almighty Allah to be mindful of Him in my profession, to safeguard human life in all its stages, to be a brother to every colleague in the medical field, to make my life a reflection of my faith, and to always be an instrument of Allah's mercy in private and in public, toward Allah, His Messenger, and the believers."
