The College of Allied Health Sciences Announces Holding a Conference Entitled "Next Generation Healthcare, Integrating Imaging and Informatics for Collaborative Care" During the Period 12-13 February

Under the patronage of Kuwait University President, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, the College of Allied Medical Sciences announced the organization of the conference "Next Generation Healthcare, Integrating Imaging and Informatics for Collaborative Care" scheduled to be held on February 12-13, 2025 in the presence of a group of prominent figures in the field of allied medical sciences, and all those in charge and working in the allied medical and administrative departments, with the aim of bringing together experts and specialists in the field of healthcare to discuss the latest developments in imaging and health informatics and their role in improving healthcare, with the participation of governmental and private institutions. 
In this regard, Acting Dean of the College of Allied Medical Sciences and Assistant Dean for Consulting and Training, Dr. Mohammad Shaaban, confirmed that the conference aims to enhance cooperation between professionals in health and allied medicine fields, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the fields of medical imaging and medical informatics, noting that the conference focuses on the importance of artificial intelligence and innovation to improve the quality of healthcare in Kuwait, in line with Kuwai Vision 2035, which seeks to develop the health system and make it more efficient and sustainable. 
Dr. Shaaban added that the development of programs in radiology and health informatics has witnessed qualitative leaps in recent years and has become one of the main axes for improving healthcare globally. 
For her part, Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies at the College of Allied Medical Sciences and Head of the Next Generation Healthcare Conference, Dr. Elham Al-Dosari, stated that the conference reflects a forward-looking vision for the future of healthcare, as it combines the importance of integrating medical imaging and health informatics to enhance cooperation in providing care, stressing that this integration is an urgent necessity to keep pace with global developments and apply the latest technologies to improve medical services in Kuwait, with a focus on building a health system based on innovation and efficiency, as scientific lectures will be held to address the axes of joint professional innovations with the participation of governmental and private institutions to display services for allied medicine professions, in addition to holding workshops on first aid. 
Dr. Al-Dosari added that the conference contributes to achieving the vision of His Highness the Amir of the country of "New Kuwait 2035" by focusing on improving the quality of health services and building specialized cadres capable of using modern technology, as well as enhancing cooperation between health and educational institutions to develop innovation in medical fields and achieve an advanced health system that meets the aspirations of the country. 
In a related context, Acting Head of the Radiology Department at the College of Allied Medical Sciences, Dr. Laila Ghadanfar said that the conference calls on all professionals and interested parties from governmental and private institutions to participate in this distinguished scientific event, in order to enhance communication between health and educational entities, to contribute to improving the quality of health care, indicating that development comes through achieving integration between data and medical imaging, improving work efficiency and reducing errors through smart systems, and research and development through large databases integrated between medical imaging and health informatics for researchers, pointing out that the integration between radiology and health informatics reflects a radical shift in how medical services are provided in a more accurate and comprehensive manner.
