An outstanding achievement that reflects the excellence of Kuwait University students and elevates the university’s international standing.

In a remarkable academic achievement showcasing the excellence of Kuwait University’s College of Business Administration, the college’s student team secured first place in the prestigious CFA Research Challenge 2024/2025, organized by the CFA Institute. This international competition is considered one of the most prominent challenges in financial analysis, where university students compete by analyzing publicly listed companies and presenting financial reports and investment recommendations to a panel of industry experts.
The winning team was composed of the following students:
•    Shahad Hamad Abdulaziz Al-Fahad
•    Hilal Amer Ali Al-Mutairi
•    Abdulwahab Jassim Ali Al-Jassmi
•    Khaled Tareq Eisa Al-Eisa

The team was mentored by Dr. Abdullah Nader Al-Awadhi, faculty member in the Department of Finance and Financial Institutions and supervisor of the CFA Office at the college.
On this occasion, Acting Dean of the College, Dr. Awaad Al-Dhafiri, expressed his pride in this accomplishment, affirming that it reflects the high academic caliber of the College of Business Administration and its ability to compete on a global scale. He noted that this success further solidifies Kuwait University’s position among the most distinguished business schools worldwide.
“This victory is the result of the college’s continuous efforts to support students, enhance their practical skills, and prepare them to become future leaders in finance, investment, and economics,” Dr. Al-Dhafiri added. He dedicated this achievement to Kuwait University, its administration, faculty, and students, emphasizing that it serves as a motivation for future successes. He also highlighted the college’s plans to celebrate the winning team and continue supporting their academic and professional journey toward even greater accomplishments.
