
Kuwait University, represented by the College of Engineering and Petroleum, received a delegation from Cisco to enhance academic and technical cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two parties. The meeting was attended by representatives from Kuwait University, which included Acting Vice President for Academic Support Services, Prof. Mohammad Al-Mulla, Acting Assistant Vice President for University Site Planning, Dr. Majid Majeed, Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Prof. Khaled Al-Hazaa, the Coordinator of the Cisco Academy and Network Labs and Director of the Graduate Program in Computer Engineering, Dr. Mohammad Awadh, and Head of the Computer Engineering Department, Dr. Saed Abed.
Representing Cisco came Chris Reeves, Vice President for Digital Transformation in Europe, Middle East and Africa region and Net Academy, along with several of company members.
Acting Vice President for Academic Support Services, Prof. Mohammad Al-Mulla, indicated that there is great cooperation between Kuwait University and Cisco Communications, and the two sides discussed topics related to knowledge transfer, training, and services provided, and the focus was on the use of artificial intelligence in data transfer operations. He concluded his speech by thanking the IT team at Kuwait University for their efforts.
The visit also included an inspection tour of Cisco Academy Lab and Siemens Lab at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, and the tour was concluded at the Administration Building at Kuwait University.
