The College of Engineering and Petroleum holds a Ceremony to Honor the Dean's Honorary List and Outstanding Students for the Academic Year 2023/2024

Under the patronage and attendance of Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Prof. Khaled Al-Hazaa, the Office of Vice Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University organized a ceremony to honor the Dean's Honorary List and Outstanding Students for the academic year 2023/2024, on the morning of Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the College of Engineering and Petroleum Theater in Sabah Al-Salem University City. The ceremony was held in the presence of Vice Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Dr. Nawaf Al-Juwaihel, Director of the Vocational Training and Graduates Office at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Dr. Essam Raqaba, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Achievements and Graduate Studies at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ajmi, Vice Dean for Planning, Consulting and Training, Dr. Mabkhout Al-Dosari, and a number of vice deans and heads of scientific and administrative departments at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, with the aim of supporting the education endeavor. 
At the outset, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Prof. Khaled Al-Hazaa stated that the College of Engineering and Petroleum is witnessing a day full of joy and happiness, as it offers a well-deserved honor to some of the distinguished youth who have worked hard to acquire knowledge, and set an example to be followed in achieving this distinguished honor, noting that the Office of Vice Dean for Student Affairs is the organizing body of this ceremony, which is held once every semester, as the number of students on the Dean's Honor List reached 98 male and female students, and the number of outstanding students in the college reached 68 in the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024. 
Prof. Al-Hazaa expressed his great thanks and gratitude to all those who excelled and filled the college with pride and honor through excellence in acquiring knowledge, stressing that with perseverance, determination and persistence, a person achieves the highest levels of excellence and distinction, pointing out that the keenness of parents and distinguished professors to be present at this ceremony is a reflection of their great and boundless efforts in supporting the scientific and professional path of our students, pointing out that the role of outstanding students must continue and have a distinctive imprint in their professional life through their involvement in the labor market and achieving excellence and distinction in all aspects of life, and that their honoring today is the first step towards success in all aspects of their lives. 
For his part, the outstanding student from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Falah Mansour Al-Ajmi, stressed that excellence today is only the beginning of achieving goals and accomplishments, stressing the need to be driven to continue this success and distinction, considering that outstanding students bear a great responsibility towards themselves, society and the country, pointing out that everyone must return the favor to their beloved country, which in turn provided the needed support. He said, "Today, I am honored and proud to stand before you, representing the students who have worked hard in their studies and excelled in their performance throughout the year. We do not stand as outstanding students only, but as young people who carry within them limitless ambition and a determination that does not succumb to the impossible. This honor is the culmination of the fruits of continuous effort and dedication to work." He extended his thanks to all faculty members and parents who have been the best supporters to students throughout their academic career. 
In conclusion, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Prof. Khaled Al-Hazaa, Acting Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Nawaf Al-Juwaihel, and the Executive Director of Institutional Relations and Social Responsibility at Kuwait Finance House, Mr. Faisal Al-Surayee, honored the outstanding students and the Dean's Honor List. 
The ceremony included a visual presentation that reflected the extent of the efforts made by the students of Kuwait University in insisting on excellence to reach the highest ranks.
