The Interprofessional Education Committee at the College of Allied Health Sciences organized an event titled “Case Study Among Health Sciences Center Students,” which included a wide range of specialties from the college, in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy and its faculty members.
The event featured the participation of over 115 students from various disciplines within the college, as well as from the College of Pharmacy. Students were divided into 23 teams, spread across 8 classrooms, competing in a group project designed to foster a spirit of teamwork. The goal was to complete a medical case study in a competitive, engaging environment. Adding a fun twist to the activity, the event moved away from traditional classroom settings — each team worked to complete a pizza illustration, with each correct case diagnosis allowing them to add more "ingredients" to complete their pizza.
On this occasion, Dr. Zainab Jasem, faculty member in the Occupational Therapy Department, confirmed that the committee had been preparing for this large-scale event for quite some time. She noted the committee's future aspirations to include all specialties within the college, in addition to involving disciplines from other medical colleges.
Dr. Zainab expressed her happiness with the success of the event, praising the dedication of all committee members. She extended her heartfelt thanks to the Interprofessional Education Committee, including:
•    Dr. Anwar Al-Mutairi – Department of Physical Therapy
•    Dr. Anfal Yousuf – Department of Laboratory Sciences
•    Dr. Aseel Khalaf – Department of Radiologic Sciences
•    Ms. Hanadi Al-Humaidi – Department of Health Information and Informatics
She also thanked the faculty and students from the College of Pharmacy for their contributions to the event’s success, wishing continued success for all involved.
