As Part of Kuwait University's Continuous Efforts to Support Researchers and Develop Performance in the Field of Scientific Research 
The Research Sector Organizes a Special Training Course (Elsevier)

As part of Kuwait University's continuous efforts, the Office of Vice President for Research, in cooperation with the publisher "Elsevier" for scientific publishing, organized a special training course for (Elsevier), presented by Mr. Amr Dhahab, Regional Director of Elsevier, Mr. Muhammad Raed, Regional Advisor to Elsevier, in the presence of Acting Vice President for Research and Chairman of the Academic Publication Council Dr. Nasser Faisal Al-Tannak, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation Prof. Nouriya Al-Kandari, Assistant Vice President for Research Financing and Implementation Dr. Hanin Shafiq Al-Ghabra, and Editor-in-Chief of Afaq Newspaper Dr. Muhammad Al-Otaibi, with the aim of supporting researchers and faculty members to further develop performance and knowledge in the field of scientific research. The training course was held on Wednesday 27 November 2024 at Sabah Al-Salem University City. 
The course discussed how to explore scientific research opportunities in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and identify the best scientific journals in terms of reputation and performance, while providing tips for avoiding suspicious journals.
