Acting Dean of Student Affairs at Kuwait University, Prof. Jassim Al-Hamdan, welcomed a delegation from the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, accompanied by the Vice Dean for Student Activities, Dr. Salem Al-Shammari, and the Director of the Administration of Student Housing and Foreign Students Affairs, Mr. Faleh Al-Masoud, on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
The Emirati delegation included representatives from the embassy: Lulwa Yousef Al-Tamimi, the Cultural Attaché at the Office of Education and Technology; media researcher Sheikha Howaida Al-Sharqi; and Ms. Mona Al-Qamzi from the Media Office. Additionally, representatives from Nest University Campus in the UAE were present, including Khaled Bin Karam, a representative of the Nest Housing Group, and Janice Correa, the Director of Leasing and Events.
The visit came at the invitation of the Deanship of Student Affairs to explore student housing at Kuwait University. A comprehensive presentation was given about the student housing facilities and the services provided to students. The visit also aimed to strengthen bilateral relations, during which the Emirati delegation showcased student housing models from Sharjah and promoted the Nest Housing Group, which specializes in providing outstanding housing solutions for students.
This visit comes as part of the academic collaboration between Kuwait University and educational institutions in the United Arab Emirates, aiming to exchange experiences between both parties in the areas of student housing and supportive academic services.
